Peter Chatfield, whilst serving

Peter again as a young Petty Officer

 

Peter was born at Lancing, Sussex in 1935.

He attended Downview Road School, Worthing, West Tarring Secondary School, Worthing. Then to Worthing Technical School. He entered the Royal Navy at HMS St Vincent, at Gosport, on the 29 August 1950.

Since leaving the navy in 1975 Peter has worked for the Ministry of Defence and Normalair Garrett (attaining the position of Assistant credit Controller). He was made redundant in 1991. He then took a year out living in Cyprus. On return to the UK, he found employment in a Tomato Nursery, working as a seasonal supervisor
